Other finished models

Seeing that I'm in the mood for showing off more of my stuff, I have taken pictures of two models that I have finished which I'm quite pleased with.

The first one is a Slann Mage Priest:

I have had this model for a several years now, bought when I had planned on doing a Lizardmen Army but I never got round to finishing the army.  Now he's just a paper weight, though a nicely painted paper weight.  I had a lot of fun painting him and I'm quite proud of how I painted his skin.  The reason for why he is glued to the base instead of hovering is due to the fact that when I went to insert the flying rod, I found that the hole was at an angle.  The model would have either looked like it was crashing or taking off, so I glued/green stuffed it to the base and then glue a lot of grass to hide any left over green stuff.

The next model is a Tyranid Lictor:

This is the Finecast version of the Lictor and I had a lot of fun painting it.  I was using the painting guide in the White Dwarf article which came out when the new Tyranid plastics were released.  At the time I hadn't figured out how to do feathering and so I line highlighted the model.  I also like the way that the skin came out, I wasn't able to exactly copy the guide but in the end I think it came out well.

That's all for now,

Bye.
